¿Qué son los comparativos en inglés?
Los comparativos se usan para comparar dos personas, objetos o situaciones. Hay tres tipos:
Comparativo de superioridad
Se usa para decir que algo es más que otra cosa.
Estructura: adjetivo + -er + than (adjetivos cortos) / more + adjetivo + than (adjetivos largos)
Ejemplos:
Dogs are faster than cats.
English is more interesting than I thought.
Comparativo de inferioridad
Se usa para decir que algo es menos que otra cosa.
Estructura: less + adjetivo + than
Ejemplos:
This exercise is less difficult than the last one.
Spanish is less complex than Chinese.
Comparativo de igualdad
Se usa para decir que dos cosas son iguales en algún aspecto.
Estructura: as + adjetivo + as
Ejemplos:
You are as tall as me.
This test is as hard as the previous one.
¿Qué es el superlativo en inglés?
El superlativo se usa para decir que algo es el más o el menos de su grupo.
Estructura: the + adjetivo + -est (adjetivos cortos) / the most + adjetivo (adjetivos largos)

Mount Everest is the highest mountain on Earth.
This is the most interesting book I’ve ever read.
The worst day of the week is Monday.

Errores comunes con el comparativo y superlativo
❌ More faster → ✅ faster
No puedes usar more con adjetivos cortos que ya llevan -er.
❌ The most tallest → ✅ the tallest
No puedes combinar the most con -est.
❌ She is more good than him → ✅ She is better than him
Los adjetivos irregulares no siguen la regla general.
❌ This is the better option → ✅ This is the best option
